Alberta Beef Producers’ Board of Directors, delegates, and staff are deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Canadian Cattle Association (CCA) President Reg Schellenberg.
“My husband Miles and I express our overwhelming sadness over the sudden passing of Reg Schellenberg,” said Melanie Wowk, ABP Chair. “Our paths first crossed through cattle industry politics but soon developed into a friendship with Reg and his wife Shannon. We had an amazing time experiencing their ranch and hospitality for several days, and always managed at least a meal together when attending industry events.”

Reg first became active with the Canadian Cattle Association over 12 years ago. He served as co-chair on both the Foreign Trade Committee and the Animal Health and Care Committee and represented CCA on the Canadian Cattle Identification Agency.
Reg became CCA’s President in March of this year.
“A true cowboy, rancher, and gentleman, Reg will be deeply missed,” said Melanie.
Alberta Beef Producers’ thoughts are with Reg’s family – his wife Shannon, his children, and his grandchildren – at this difficult time.
