We’ve been working on the Getting Through Drought podcast series—a series specifically for cow-calf producers in Alberta—for the better part of a year now.
The series covers topics such as grazing, how to make a drought plan, water management, and feed alternatives. We are hoping with this series that by sharing information on the BMPs that tend to be effective in getting cow-calf operations in Alberta through a drought, the province’s cow-calf sector can be better prepared for the next drought. Even though the series is geared toward cow-calf producers, there’s useful info in there for any agricultural producer.
All twelve episodes in the Getting Through Drought series will be released by the end of May.
