This month, ABP Executive met with Alberta Veterinary Medical Association’s Executive to talk about common issues between the organizations, such as: how to address the ongoing veterinary shortage, and procedures for a potential Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak.
On October 20th, ABP witnessed for the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry and Technology regarding Bill C-235 – Building a Green Prairie Economy Act. ABP Chair Dr. Melanie Wowk outlined the economic value of the beef industry along with its role in carbon sequestration and other ecological goods and services.
Alberta AgriSystems Living Labs (AALL) hosted in-person and virtual information sessions this month.
