Drought’s always just around the corner, says Dr. Bart Lardner, and the best time to plan for it is in the fall.
Lardner is a professor at the University of Saskatchewan. He spoke at the Canadian Beef Industry Conference in Penticton, British Columbia, in August.
“We should have just experience that grazing program in 2022 and now we’re planning for 2023, with our fingers crossed that we’re going to get adequate moisture.”
